Using Foamex boards for wedding signs and table plans

Foamex is a lightweight rigid board that works well for indoor wedding signs, table plans, menus and welcome boards. It can be printed directly, is easy to position on an easel and gives artwork a clean, flat surface.

Choose a useful size

Allow enough space for guests to read names and table details without crowding around the board. A smaller sign may suit a welcome message, while a detailed table plan normally needs a larger format and clearly separated sections.

Set up readable artwork

Use strong contrast, avoid very small type and keep important text away from the trimmed edge. Check every guest name carefully before approving the proof, particularly after late changes to the seating plan.

Plan how it will be displayed

Foamex board is rigid but needs secure support. Confirm that the easel or stand can hold the chosen size and place it away from narrow walkways. Ask the venue before using it outdoors, where wind and weather may require a different material or fixing method.

Allow time for delivery

Printed boards can be damaged in transit, so avoid ordering at the last possible moment. When a customer’s table plan arrived damaged, we began a replacement within the hour and delivered the new board within two working days. Extra time in the schedule made that recovery possible.
