Print for tech startups: practical materials for launches and sales

A startup rarely needs every printed item at once. Print should support a specific conversation, launch or delivery. Start with the next event in the sales process and choose the smallest useful set of materials.

Meetings and early sales

Business cards are useful when founders and sales teams meet people in person. Keep the design simple and make the web address easy to read. A one-page product sheet can explain the problem, product and next step without asking someone to open a laptop during a meeting.

Early details change quickly. Order sensible quantities and avoid printing dates, prices or claims that are still under review.

Investor and partner packs

Print selected material rather than the whole pitch deck. A short summary, case study or technical sheet may be easier to discuss around a table. Use page numbers and a clear document version so everyone refers to the same information.

Events and demonstrations

For a stand, plan the message around viewing distance. The company name and main proposition should work from several metres away. Smaller panels or handouts can carry proof, features and contact details.

Check the organiser’s stand dimensions before ordering graphics. Leave time to test how screens, cables and furniture sit with the printed display.

Packaging and onboarding

If the product is shipped, a printed insert can explain setup, support or returns. Keep essential instructions separate from promotional copy. A QR code can point to the current online guide, but the printed piece should still identify the destination in case the code cannot be scanned.

Keep the system easy to repeat

Record the approved logo files, colours, paper and finishes. Use templates for staff cards and sales sheets. This reduces artwork errors when the team grows or a job needs to be reprinted quickly.

Artwork checks

  • Use the finished size shown on the product page.
  • Add bleed and keep important content inside the safe area.
  • Export a print-ready PDF with fonts embedded.
  • Test QR codes and short links from a printed proof.

Start with the business card range or browse all print products. If the launch pack combines several items, send us the brief.
